Hello, and welcome to the Meltham CE Primary School website where you will be able to find everything you need to answer your questions about our school community.
Meltham CE Primary offers your children a rich tapestry of experiences that comes in many different shapes and forms, and which put children first. We hope to support our parents in nurturing creative, independent and resilient learners who achieve to the very best of their ability not only in reading, writing and maths, but also in the arts, sciences and in their personal and social development.
We guarantee the full breadth of the primary curriculum your child is entitled to and, as the sign out front says, we try to STANDOUT, BREAKOUT and SHOUTOUT while we do it (in plain English, that’s promote independent and inquisitive learning; work outdoors creating a window into different places both physically and virtually and performing whenever we can in whatever way we can!)
I know that children will cherrish their time here and take forward many special memories of Meltham CE Primary School. Our wonderful team takes special care to get to know each child as an individual and create the best learning experience we can, but what makes those memories special?
Well, I think it’s the dedication and loyalty shown by every member of our staff: from our multi-talented support team to our meticulous cleaning staff; from our dedicated admin staff to our creative teachers. We all understand that a school is more than just a building full of children. We know how monumental and how precious the primary years of your children’s education are and understand the importance of working in partnership with you.
As a Church of England School, we work hard to model and install in the children a respect and understanding of the world and all its peoples. We work with the local church, St. Bartholomew’s, and our core Christian values of friendship, forgiveness, courage, thankfulness, compassion and hope underpin all of our work.
So, if you’re an existing parent, then I hope you’ll be able to find all the information you need on the website. If you can’t, don’t worry, you can always give us a call or send us an email. If you’re a prospective or new parent, then I sincerely hope we can help! The website and our Twitter pages should give you a flavour of what we offer thechildren.
As you can see, I tend to ramble on a little, so I’ll leave it at that. If you are looking for a school in Meltham, then please contact us for a chat and a look round - I’m sure you’ll be impressed and we can’t wait to meet you.
