Wellbeing

At Meltham C of E Primary School, we recognise the great importance of wellbeing for our pupils, families, community and staff. We work hard to promote the wellbeing of our children and school community through a guaranteed entitlement to Forest School sessions; a daily run; the targeted use of both our Pupil Premium and Sports Premium funding; a structured PSHE and RSE curriculum and a creative approach to learning through our STANDOUT, BREAKOUT and SHOUTOUT curriculum drivers. We have a well-established Inclusion Team headed by our school SENDCo, Mrs. Helm; we celebrate Empathy Week, National Bullying Week and myriad other opportunities to ensure staff and children alike have their ongoing wellbeing recognised, celebrated and supported when necessary.

This is a happy school, but we understand that life can bring challenges for parents and carers that are beyond all our control.

This section of our school website aims to provide you with a range of resources and agencies who may be able to offer help to children and families.  If you feel you need support, or if you know of someone else who needs support, it acts as a good place to start seeking help.  While we are in no way affiliated with any of these services or recommend one above another, Meltham CE Primary offers this resource as a starting point for self-referral and self-help.
