Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium strategy is our three-year plan detailing how the school's allocated Pupil Premium funding will be used to address identified barriers and improve educational outcomes for its disadvantaged pupils. It is published and reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective using the exemplar format provided by the Department for Education (DfE).
Each year, a summary of how the previous year's funding was spent and the impact it had is published on our website.
Our Pupil Premium strategy is broken down into four componant parts:
the school's context at the time of writing.
the strategy employed by the school (including its principles, challenges, intended outcomes and approaches).
the planned activity for the current academic year in three areas (teaching, targeted support and wider strategies).
a review of the previous year's activity.
The barriers for children in receipt of the Pupil Premium grant, and also for children and families identified by the school as potentially disadvantaged for a number of reaons, are supported through a wide range of methods including ongoing staff training, whole class adaptive teaching and both small group and individual interventions. Further details are available in the Pupil Premim Strategy below.
