Curriculum




Meltham CE Primary School is a maintained school that follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales. As a Church of England school, we follow the Kirklees Agreed Syllabus for RE and are subject to both OFSTED and SIAMS inspections, details of which can be found on this website.
Our Governors, staff and our community are clear that our children will be offered the full bredth of the curriculum without narrowing of any sort. Children follow the Little Wandle phonics scheme from their first weeks in EYFS and the White Rose Maths scheme throughout their journey. Our teachers follow a blend of our own Meltham CE currriculum, supported by schemes for PE, Music and for PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). We strive to make our currriculum as diverse as possible; ensure it is underpinned by our Christian Vision and Christian Values, and encompasses our three core curriculum drivers:
